EMMA RAINE WALKER

Emma is an award-winning filmmaker, writer, and performer from South Wales, United Kingdom. Her creative journey began on stage, performing in theatre productions across Wales and on London’s Fringe circuit.

Exploring all aspects of storytelling — from writing and producing to directing and acting — she went on to create her first short film, Joie de Vivre, in Vancouver, which has since won multiple awards.

Her debut feature script Amy & Sophia went on to achieve international recognition, with both the screenplay and film earning several awards and securing her certification with the Producers Guild of America (PGA).

Emma has continued to expand her body of work, producing projects such as the Mexican feature film Island of the Dolls with Isela Vega, and publishing her debut children’s book, Noah’s Yacht, in collaboration with French artist Julie Murat. Her current slate of developing projects includes:

  • Documentary on a Welsh healer
  • War biopic feature about a Russian sniper
  • Coming-of-age feature about a Mexican ballet dancer

In addition to her creative work, Emma contributes to the casting department for film and television productions in British Columbia. She also served as a Jury Member for the Welsh BAFTAs (2024) in the Film/TV category.
